Welcome friends and those soon-to-be friends to my blog. I’m glad you have found yourself on this site. Here I will share the antics of my little family, insights I’ve developed through our trials and adventures, and hopefully, provide something helpful along the way.
First and foremost, I’m the mother of my very own wildlings….3 rambunctious boys who keep me active and borderline insane on the daily, plus the four-legged monster companion Sir Mookie. I love it, although I keep hinting around to my husband that we need another female in this house. The boys are 9, 6, and 1. I may have understated when I said I’m kept active.

We are the CT family…I insisted each one of our children’s names begin with a C so that each of our initials would be CT. Looking back on it I had no other reason other than maybe one day if we monogrammed things it would be nice to just have one set. Fancy towels perhaps? Ha, not in this house.
Our family has a very special dynamic. It’s not the most unique, but it’s certainly not the norm. My husband, Charlie, travels with his job and is often gone 5 days every week, sometimes more. When we first began dating and early on in our marriage his job typically lasted 6 days every week and was often pretty far from home. We are certainly fortunate now that he works much closer to home and only 5 days, but with all these kids in tow, it can make for a difficult lifestyle. We stay, he goes, everyone cries…our Sunday routine.
A few more tidbits about us:
- Family CT was established in 2010 and has had some tumultuous years, to say the least.
- We live in the mountains of West Virginia and have no current intention of that ever-changing. Why move roots when traveling can allow for wings too?
- We homeschool….for a variety of reasons, but are making a shift into public school as well.
- I’m a mountain momma by day and photographer when the schedule fits. Team Canon…always. I’ll often link to my photography website in posts.
- WVU Mountaineers are life!….actually no, that’s Jesus, but we bleed gold and blue.
- Our boys are very active in sports which we love…even if my planner looks like there’s hardly time for showering. Dry shampoo for the win!
- Family is the 2nd utmost important part of our life, coming in right after God.

My entire intention with starting this blog is simply to write about this family, our adventures, our trials, and how we overcame the hardships. If telling the stories can resonate with you, entertain you, give some insight into how we make things work or do what we do, then pop the champagne, I’ve succeeded, and it’s now time to celebrate!
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me/us….I’m including my family in this as these are OUR stories, OUR adventures, and OUR failures or successes. One of our family-centric values is to find purpose in even the darkest of situations and lead what we call a purpose-driven life. I hope you enjoy spending time between the wildlings.
XOXO,
